The results of the European Elections 2019 show us that after a decade of crisis in Europe, this is the time to work across borders to shape a new common agenda for Europe. These elections have shown that citizens across the continent believe that the European Union is now a central political topic in all countries, and they want to be part of the transnational political processes in other ways than voting.

Fridays for Future, Extinction Rebellion, the Women's Marches, Grannies against the Right or the Riders' strikes, are all part of a new wave of transnational movements that is shaking Europe. This has been achieved by a new generation of activists and organised civil society working across borders.

Because we need to continue shaping the social and political agenda for Europe, European Alternatives opens this summer the doors of the new School of Transnational Activism with the aim to share knowledge, tools and techniques amongst a new generation of activists that are already working and campaigning transnationally.

At a moment when nationalism is growing throughout the continent, we need to be louder in pushing for the Europe that we want: a radically democratic, open and social Europe for everyone. Support the School with a financial contribution!

Every little helps! Through our training programs, we intend to build communities of knowledge and practice which are transnationally connected to defend human rights, demand climate justice and be active contributors of a mature democracy. We need your support to help these communities grow and share their knowledge more widely.

Donate today for the School of Transnational Activism and let the 2019 elections be a beginning of a new form of European politics.

With solidarity,

Daphne Büllesbach, executive director European Alternatives.

European Alternatives works to promote democracy, equality and culture beyond the nation state. We imagine, demand and enact alternatives for a viable future for Europe
