Conference: "A Trade Policy to serve the People", 7 Feb, European Parliament, Brussels

Due to the very active free trade agenda of the Commission, we have to face those many free trade agreement, and many people, movements, networks, municipalities, regions, are now mobilized against this corporate agenda.

But most of us are also many engaged somehow in the building of alternatives to free trade, some more sectorial, some more systemic.

The GUE/NGL group of the European Parliament is inviting social movements, networks and political forces more engaged in the building of alternatives, and those proposing new ideas and strategies, but all based on progressive values, such as social justice, fight for environment and against climate change, peace, well-being of our people and for our partners, democratic responses to the new political and technical challenges.

GUE/NGL is convening this Conference to expose those alternatives, in the European Parliament, Brussels, on Wednesday 7 February 2019 from 9:00 to 13:00, (followed by 3 workshops from 14:00 to 16:00).
