Vandaag kondigde de Europese Commissie nieuwe voorstellen aan voor het ontwikkelen van een Europees defensie-beleid. "Deze voorstellen zullen onze veiligheid niet verbeteren, maar zijn enkel bedoeld als een verdoken subsidiëring van de wapenindustrie", reageert ENAAT, het Europees Netwerk Tegen Wapenhandel.

In Genève is de jaarlijkse Conferentie gestart van de Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie (IAO). Zeg maar het mondiale Ministerie van Werk. Met dat verschil dat de regels er niet worden gemaakt en gehandhaafd na – in het beste geval - vrijblijvend advies van de sociale partners. Maar dat de sociale partners er mee aan zet zijn.

Mevr. Demir stelde haar engagementen voor de twee komende jaren voor aan het Federaal Parlement.

La Secrétaire d'Etat Zuhal Demir a convié ce 5 mai 2017 BAPN et les réseaux régionaux dans ses locaux. Mis à part le RWLP, absent pour des raisons d'agenda, tous les réseaux étaient représentés. C'était l'occasion de faire connaissance et d'échanger les avis sur la problématique de la précarité.

Op 5 mei werden BAPN en zijn regionale netwerken uitgenodigd door de Staatssecretaris Zuhal Demir voor een ontmoeting in haar kabinet. Alle netwerken waren vertegenwoordigd, uitgezonderd RWLP die zich niet kon vrijmaken. Het was een gelegenheid om kennis te maken met de nieuwe Staatssecretaris en om van mening uit te wisselen over de armoedeproblematiek.

Gaza is on the brink of a "systemic collapse" as the electricity crisis deepens, the International Committee of the Red Cross is warning.

Those who do criticize Israel assume that if anything went wrong in this democracy then it was due to the 1967 war.
