Herinnering Conferentie: VS-politiek tegenover Cuba  1 juni '22 om 19u30

1. Inleiding:

Prof. Ernesto Dominguéz López wordt dit voorjaar als gastdocent uitgenodigd door de Universiteit van Rostock, Duitsland.

Samen met zijn echtgenote Prof. Seida Barrera Rodríguez komt hij de eerste week van juni ’22 naar België, met de bedoeling om contacten te leggen met de academische wereld met het oog op mogelijke uitwisseling en samenwerking. Beiden zijn tevens erg geïnteresseerd om voor een divers publiek inleidingen te geven volgende thema’s:

- De relatie tussen de VS en Cuba

- De houding van de Cubaans-Amerikaanse gemeenschap in de VS tegenover Cuba

- De houding van de VS tegenover het Latijns-Amerikaans continent

- De interne socio-politieke evoluties in de VS – 2000-2020.

Seida Barrera Rodríguez:

- Recente evoluties in de Cubaanse economie: zelfstandigen, coöperatieven en micro-, kleine en middelgrote bedrijven.

- Economisch beleid van Cuba & Evoluties in de Cubaanse overheidsbedrijven

- De relatie tussen de VS en Cuba
