The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Italy and Libya is one of the instruments with which the E.U. and its Member States facilitate extreme exploitation and abuse against people in Libya, including forced labor, torture and extortion. Learn more.

Unless Italy acts before November 2, the memorandum will be automatically renewed. We cannot let that happen! 

The Solidarity with Refugees in Libya Network, which Freedom United is part of, along with partners, including Abolish Frontex and Red Solidaria de Acogida, are mobilizing to stop the renewal by organizing protests around Europe.

Join a protest near you to call on Italy and the E.U. to stop facilitating modern slavery and cancel the MoU immediately!
