Hundreds of EU candidates pledge to end corporate impunity
We're getting them onside!
Thanks to supporters like you, we have managed to win the backing of hundreds of candidates for the European elections. Across Europe, activists have been asking their MEP candidates to sign our pledge to vote against all forms of ISDS and for binding corporate accountability rules at EU and UN levels.
In some places like France, Denmark and the Netherlands, activists held debates. In other countries, like Germany and Austria, MEP voting records were put into a guide to help voters identify candidates who have voted the right way on corporate impunity. In other places like Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Finland, there were mass social media actions, press articles and street activities.
The election may now be upon us. But it’s not too late to join in and take action to make our elected representatives listen to our demands.
The election campaign was just the beginning. Now we need to tell our elected
representatives to stop passing deals with ISDS in them and get serious about ending corporate impunity. For example, we have a highly dangerous deal with Vietnam coming up that human rights activists are lining up to oppose. And we need to keep up the pressure on corporations like we did this month as part of Anti-Chevron Day.
Never has it been more important to get involved in the campaign. So please share the petition, get active locally or donate to help us keep the show on the road.
Thanks for your support
