Arctic drilling is bad business

Let's leave Trump alone at his party. Tell the CEOs of BP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips that Arctic drilling is bad business.

By the time oil from the Arctic Refuge would be profitable and available for mass consumption, the world will have probably have already shifted away from most fossil fuels.

There’s a couple other points that should give Big Oil pause. One, only a select few know the results from a small exploratory well that tells us what type and how much oil may be hidden beneath this fragile ecosystem. Our sources are indicating that it’s not that much. Secondly, this area is sacred to the Gwich’in people. As the birthing and nursing grounds of the Porcupine caribou herd, the Gwich’in call the coastal plain, “Iizhik Gwats’an Gwandaii Goodlit” or “the sacred place where life begins.”

Big Oil needs to stay away from the Arctic Refuge. Expansion into sacred places is more than disrespectful; it’s morally reprehensible.
