Like delivery and logistics workers around the world, FedEx-TNT workers have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
They've transported essential goods into our homes, hospitals and shops under harsh conditions to keep the world moving.
In January 2021, instead of rewarding their hard work and commitment, FedEx-TNT notified workers across Europe that they plan to fire up to 6,300 of them this year.
The company has tried to justify this as part of its integration of FedEx into the TNT network, but their arguments don't stack up.
While FedEx-TNT has been boasting about their record profits in 2020, they're treating their workers as a cheap, disposable commodity.
The European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF) and the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF) have launched a campaign on LabourStart calling on FedEx-TNT to respect their frontline workers. We're telling FedEx-TNT to stop the job cuts immediately and respect the proper process with unions and the European Works Council.
