2017, les Palestinien-ne-s vivent toujours dans la violence quotidienne de l'occupation israélienne. Moins spectaculaire, moins visible, plus insidieuse que des conflits armés ouverts, cette occupation représente pourtant l'une des violences les plus longues et les plus cruelles de l'histoire contemporaine.
En tant que citoyens, nous avons le devoir de faire cesser cette violence... Effaçons l'occupation, pas les Palestiniens !

Met de campagne 'Het groot rapport van de regering Michel' maken ABVV, ACV en ACLVB de balans op van de regering en dringen ze aan op een rechtvaardiger en eerlijker beleid. De regering moet binnenkort de begroting 2018 opmaken. Er komen superministerraden over de sociale zekerheid, de economie en de werkgelegenheid.

Members of Greece's trade union centre GSEE, an affiliate of the ITUC, and public sector union ADEDY are today on strike against the latest round of austerity measures imposed by EU creditors and the IMF. After months of prevarication, the Greek government has caved in to the EU creditors and IMF demands for further cuts in pensions and social security, and tax rises on ordinary workers.

Vandaag 16 mei begint het openbaar onderzoek over de kaart met Ruimtelijke Bedreigde Bossen. De 12.262 hectare bossen die op deze kaart staan, kregen recent een ander beschermingsstatuut: ontbossing zal er enkel nog mogelijk zijn mits een ontheffing verleend door de voltallige Vlaamse Regering. Voor deze bossen moet dit een reële stap vooruit betekenen.
